November 23, Prague, Czech Republic: Today, I was thinking that I was becoming more comfortable thinking about & discussing the past. But then I considered the fact that being away from home and the normal routine could really be helping me feel part of a world other than the one I will return to next week. It doesn't mean that hope is lost or that things haven't improved. But it is a reminder to not mistake escape for progress. <br />

I read a great quote on the flight here that essentially said that renovation is made possible by destruction. That perspective is definitely something to hang my hat on.
