December 8, San Mateo, CA: The day started off on a relatively sour note, but it didn't stay that way for long. Caught up with an old friend who has great perspective on being your own worst critic. I think being so self-critical can pay off in lots of situations, but I'm not so sure how constructive it is when trying to forgive yourself.
