Dana > March 18, Carlsbad, CA: My cousins Stan and Mary are incredible. 35 years of partnership and still so in love. When I pulled out my camera they were both shy. I started shooting them separately and they were completely nervous. Once I asked if I could shoot them together, they got cozy, started smiling, laughing, kissing...meanwhile, I snapped away. A few minutes later, Stan turns to me as says, "You don't have any of us kissing, do you?!?" Hilarious. They didn't even notice. They are such a beautiful example. Two fantastic sons who love one another to death, common passions, and complete devotion to one another. I really enjoyed spending time with them.

Dana > September 5, New York, NY: I've gotten so lucky with the weather my last few times in NYC. Lots of people were out enjoying it with me. And looking at me like I was some type of weirdo was I gook pictures from all types of unconventional places and angles. I'd say that the self-consciousness of carrying a huge camera and pulling it out to shoot a crowd of strangers has pretty much disappeared. Which means that sometimes, I get stuff I really like ((http://www.danaseye.com/Travel/Domestic/NYC-9509/9534509_FAA4W#640904044_rJ8jg).

Also thinking about building traditions in my relationship. Things we can share that can be ours. I don't know if its more important that they be original or that they be shared, but I think we'd both appreciate them very much. Over the past few weeks I have felt more comfortable with looking forward. And less likely to get....stuck, I guess...at least temporarily...looking at the past. I even feel different when working though tough issues. I think I used to want to get things back to the baseline when my relationships struggled (partially to avoid commitment), but now I think more in terms of building on the difficult stuff. We have a history of being able to do that, which helps me know that its possible.
