December 13, San Mateo, CA: I feel so fortunate to have found something that I am so passionate about. I don't think I have ever loved exploring something so much in my life. One beautifully frustrating thing about photography to me is that I know that I will never be as great at it as I hope to be. But that doenst mean that I will ever stop improving. Only about 3% of my images ever see the light of day. I used to think getting better was a matter of increasing that yield. But I now know that as your images get better, your bar gets higher. Its a great metaphor for continuous self-improvement. You just have to stand back and recognize progress every once in a while.
